What type of patients do you like to treat at FitRight HQ?

I have a special interest in supporting women during pregnancy and after birth. I enjoy helping women understand their pelvic floor, stay active throughout pregnancy, and build confidence returning to exercise postpartum. My goal is to empower women with the knowledge and tools they need to move well and feel confident in their bodies during every stage of life.

I also enjoy treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and supporting clients through their rehabilitation and return to the activities they enjoy.

What has your journey as a physio looked like so far?

My physiotherapy journey began when I moved from Singapore to Perth at 18 to pursue my dream of becoming a physiotherapist. After completing my Bachelor of Physiotherapy, I started my career in aged care before transitioning into private practice, where I treated a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and guided clients through their rehabilitation journeys. I have always enjoyed combining hands-on treatment with exercise-based rehabilitation, with a particular interest in gym-based rehab and Clinical Pilates.

I discovered my passion for women's health and pelvic health physiotherapy early on in my career and I have been furthering my knowledge through the APA Pelvic Health pathway since.

What do you love most about working as a women's health physio?

What I love most about working in women's health is the opportunity to educate and empower women at every stage of life. Growing up in Singapore, pelvic health wasn't something that was openly discussed, which is one of the reasons I'm passionate about making these discussions more open and accessible.

I enjoy helping women better understand their bodies, build confidence in their movement, and know that support is available. It's incredibly rewarding to be part of a woman's journey and help her take proactive steps towards her long-term health and wellbeing.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy all things movement and food. Whether it’s attending a Pilates class, experimenting with new baking recipes, or continuing my quest to perfect shio pan (aka Japanese salt bread). I love finding new ways to stay inspired. I’m also a big fan of exploring Perth’s food scene - especially when good pastries and desserts are involved.
