What type of patients do you like to treat at FitRight HQ?
I work in the area of pelvic health and treat women of all ages and stage of life who might have leaky bladders (or bowels!), prolapse or pelvic pain. I love listening to your story. Every journey is unique and I am passionate about helping women find solutions for day to day life, whether it's meeting friends for coffee or chasing sport and fitness dreams.
I have a keen clinical interest in all areas of women's and pelvic health including bladder and bowel incontinence, pelvic floor weakness, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, sexual pain and dysfunction, pregnancy and postnatal health, as well as pre and post gynaecological surgery care. My passion lies in prolapse management and I have undertaken additional training to fit pessaries. I love seeing women return to exercise after injury, babies or surgery.
What days do you work at FitRight HQ?
I am at FitRight HQ on Monday mornings.
What has your journey as a Physiotherapist looked like so far?
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from Curtin University in 2003. Since then I have gained experience in private practice as a physiotherapist and Clinical Pilates instructor, in public hospitals and in the community. In 2008, I completed a Graduate Certificate in Continence and Women’s Health at Curtin University and has been working in this speciality area since then.
