Yes, you can claim with your private health insurance for massage therapy appointments.

Unfortunately those with Medibank Private, AHM or HCF will not be eligible for rebates.

Yes, you can attend at any stage of your pregnancy. We often get asked about massage during the first trimester in particular. 

Massage is safe to receive at any stage of your pregnancy unless your health practitioner advises otherwise or due to medical conditions. Our massage therapists are trained in this specialty area and will accept to treat you during the first trimester. There are some  contraindications to massage at any stage of pregnancy which include if you are experiencing heavy bleeding or feeling generally unwell.

First trimester massages are usually performed with lighter pressure and no stretching as your body is undergoing big changes. Our massage therapist will follow your preference with pressure so if you enjoy firmer pressure they will go slightly firmer as they appreciate that you know your body.

If you book your massage therapy appointment online you will be able to pay at the time of booking. We will send you the receipt (to claim with your private health fund) after you have received your massage.

If you book over the phone then we will send you a payment link or you can pay on the day of your treatment via eftpos. 

If you need to reschedule your prepaid massage therapy appointment, please give us 24 hours notice so that no cancellation fee applies. 

Pregnancy - we require a minimum of 75 minutes for your initial pregnancy massage (90 minute appointments are available too).

Remedial and Relaxation - 90 minutes is recommended for a full body experience so all areas can be focused on. 60 minutes is best if you prefer a shorter massage and this can still include back, legs, arms, chest and face.

Foot Reflexology and Manual Lymphatic Drainage - these appointment are 90minutes. 

Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a harmonious manual treatment using mild mechanical stretching of the connective tissue to facilitate decongestion of the lymph ducts. We aim at stimulating the fluid circulation and elimination, assisting with detoxification.

MLD is not a muscular massage as such but is a treatment that allows regenerative fluid to flow and circulate, while any toxins are removed. This type of massage can hasten healing times as it assists vital substances to be circulated to the areas where it is needed. 

During this massage treatment you will lie on your back (ensuring you are comfortable) and no oil is used. No oil is used during this treatment. This type of massage consists of repetitive, rhythmic and gentle pressure movements as well as traction of the skin to stimulate the fluids right under your skin in the lymphatic system.
