GP Terms and Conditions
Scope of service
Women's health appointments only
Our Women's Health GPs see patients for women's health concerns only, including contraception, fertility, pre/postnatal care, perimenopause, prolapse, incontinence, and gynaecological or breast cancer concerns.
For illness, chronic disease management, immunisations, or other general health concerns, please see your regular GP.
About our practice
Integrated care – not a traditional general practice
FitRight Women's Health is primarily a women's health physiotherapy practice. GP appointments are offered on Mondays and Fridays only, as part of an integrated care model. We do not have nursing staff, treatment room support, or daily GP availability.
Our GP service is designed to complement, not replace, your regular general practice. We strongly recommend all patients maintain an ongoing relationship with a usual GP for comprehensive and continuous care.
Services we do not provide include (but are not limited to): immunisations, Care Plans, Mental Health Care Plans, and nurse-assisted procedures.
Appointments & requests
All clinical matters require a booked appointment
To ensure safe and appropriate care, please note the following:
- All prescription requests, referrals, results discussions, and medical queries must be addressed within a booked appointment.
- We are unable to process repeat prescriptions, referrals, or clinical requests over the phone or via administration staff.
- We do not have the capacity to manage urgent or same-day medical issues without a scheduled appointment.
- If you require an urgent prescription or medical review when a GP is not consulting, please contact your usual GP or attend an alternative medical service.
- Investigation results received outside consulting days may require follow-up with your regular GP for ongoing management.
Fees & billing
Private billing & fee structure
FitRight Women's Health is a private billing practice. Payment is required on the day for all consultations, including Telehealth.
Fees are based on the actual time taken in your appointment and the content covered – not the time originally booked. If your appointment runs shorter or longer than expected, the fee will be adjusted accordingly. The Medicare rebate will also reflect this. Some appointment types carry specialist Medicare item codes, which may affect the rebate.
Administration fees may apply for lost scripts, lost pathology forms, and repeat prescription requests.
Fees are subject to change. View our current fee schedule at fitrightwomenshealth.au/fees/#gp.
Card details are required to book a New Patient Appointment or Well Woman Check. Your card details are stored securely and will not be charged unless you do not attend your appointment, or cancel within the 24 hour notice period.
Cancellations
24-hour cancellation policy
We require 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule any appointment. Late cancellations and no-shows will incur a fee equal to 50% of the scheduled appointment fee.
Patient acknowledgement
By booking, you confirm that you understand and agree to the following:
– I understand that if I am unable to attend my appointment, I will provide 24 hours notice. Late cancellations and no-shows will incur a fee equal to 50% of the scheduled fee.
– I understand that appointment fees and Medicare rebates depend on the length of my consultation and the content covered. If more time is required than originally booked, I will be charged for the additional time. A higher fee is likely to result in a higher Medicare rebate.
– I understand that administration fees may apply for lost scripts, lost pathology forms, and repeat prescription requests.
– I understand that payment is required on the day for all consultations, including Telehealth.
– I understand that fees are subject to change and that the current fee schedule is available at fitrightwomenshealth.au/fees/#gp.
