What is your role at FitRight?

I'm the Practice Manager here at FitRight, which means that I'm working behind the scenes to make sure everything is running smoothly, and that everyone feels supported and able to focus on providing the best service possible to our patients.

What has your career looked like so far?

I've been working in administration for around 25 years, and the health industry for 10 years. I'm really passionate about allied health, and especially in arming people with the tools and knowledge they need to take control of their health and become the best versions of themselves. Because of this, I've worked in fitness, health education, and health and nutrition coaching, and alongside FitRight, I also manage a chiropractic centre, offer nutrition counselling, and teach yoga classes.

What do you love about working with FitRight?

FitRight is an incredibly passionate team of women, providing support and a space for other women around very female-specific health concerns. I have never come across another business like it, and it's such an innovative and trailblazing approach to what has been, historically, an overlooked area of health. I'm really inspired by what Jess and Taryn have created, and I feel honoured to be a part of their team. I also love seeing our patients, the confidence they have in us, and the genuine care they receive from all of our practitioners.

What do you like to do in your time off?

Being a nutritionist, I love to cook (and eat!), and living in Freo, I also enjoy taking advantage of the many cafes around us. You'll find me at the gym, in the yoga studio (being the teacher or one of the students!), or out walking our two dogs. I'm a massive bookworm, usually with 10 different books on the go, and am probably at the library far too often. When time allows it, my husband and I love to travel and explore new countries and places together.
